I think hydroelectric is the best. It is the best in many different ways. Hydro electric prevents some flooding since it is putting the water in 2 different reservoirs. Also it is nonpolluting and clean which coal and biomass aren’t. Even though it has 1 or 2 down sides at least it doesn’t have as many as some of the other generating systems. Most of the others have more than 3 downsides to them. Hydroelectric power is a renewable source of energy. This means that, unlike coal, there are unlimited supplies of it on earth. Hydroelectric power is more reliable than other sources of energy which require specific conditions such as sunlight (solar) or wind. What I enjoyed the most this year is when we learned about what generates electricity. I always loved learning about solar power, wind, and hydro electric. Those were always my favorite. I liked to learn how different things generate electricity. I learned that most generators that make electricity when something turns a turbine that turns a magnet or coil wire in the generator creating electricity but not all things that generates electricity does that. Some skip a few steps or gain a few steps in the process of creating electricity. I have learned a lot in science this year including cells, earth, the atmosphere, and much more. I have learned how the earth moves and why. I even learned about things that generates electricity. I believe I have learned a lot this year and I hope everyone else learned as much as I did. Science is important because it is used a lot today, especially in jobs. Everything in and on earth is from science. Doctors need to know about the body system. Astronauts need to know about space and the atmosphere. All scientists need to know at least one type of science subject.
